Googly Ghouls

I have way too many favorites for this new Stampin Up Holiday Catalog but decided to go with the new Halloween line since I’ve been doing so much Christmas lately.  The new digital subway art (Toxic Framable Digital Designer Template) is soooo cool and I can’t wait to display it in my home and will probably make another for my office at work! I also chose to use the new set Googly Ghouls and the adhesive backed googlie eyes. The dsp is cute and has my favorite pattern, chevrons, so I am hooked. It’s called Howlstooth & Scaringbone. The striped ribbon is really beautiful also. Hope you enjoy!!!

Booooooooooooo!

This is a quick little peek at a new Halloween Set and designer series paper set coming in the Holiday Catalog which will be available August 1. I used Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP, Googly Ghouls and the new cotton ribbon which I stamped on.  That ribbon is an awesome blank canvas that I can see so many creative uses for.

First Christmas Card

I LOVE First Christmas and couldn't wait to play with the new tulle. I also used the Window Frame Collection framelits, Candlelight Christmas dsp, cherry cobbler coredinations cs, antique brads and the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder. I’m about 95% sure this is the card I’m going to use as our family card this Christmas. I may have to rethink it a little, the tulle wasn’t exactly easy to wrap around those brads and the brads may it really have also.  All the new Holiday Stampin Up product will be available to purchase August 1 via my website www.debrasingletary.stampinup.net or you can contact me at debradigiscraps@yahoo.com if you want to order directly from me. TFL!!

More Christmas in July

I love, love, love this technique (even though it took me three tries to get it right Smile) by Dawn Olchefske from this youtube by her.  I used the NEW Ornament Keepsakes and Festival of Prints designer series paper which will be available August 1 in the new Stampin Up Holiday Catalog.  I also used cherry cobbler seam binding, and the following inks: lucky limeade, island indigo, and cherry cobbler.  I am still working on Christmas items and will be attempting to make my version of the gorgeous 3d ornament on the front of the holiday mini and also a new card set with a beautiful stamp of baby Jesus  in the manger. It will be my own personal family card that gets set out this year.

New Holiday Mini Stuff

l have been in awe of my box of new goodies since I got it yesterday and couldn’t wait to break into it and play, especially with this new Friendship Preserves Bundle. The bundle contains a stamp set and the matching framelits. I also picked up the new piercing templates to match.  This thank you card was made with the bundle, island indigo cardstock and ink, the designer series paper is from the new 4.5”x6.5” stack called Festival of Prints and the antique brads from the main cattie. Enjoy!

005

I HOPE this set makes it to the big cattie next year, I'm in LOVE with it already :) Friendship Preserves bundle, early espresso ink/ribbon, indigo island cs, elegant blooms embossing folder. (the bag is the pretzel bag from wilton and candy is chocolate twizzlers)

Happy Birthday!!!!

To my boyfriend’s son, Tyler!!! He will be 24 and is a sweetheart.
The mason jar tote is actually a drink holder from McDonald’s that I’ve been holding onto forever because I knew I wanted to do something with it, just couldn’t figure out what!  I am going to fill the 2 jars up with candy and enclose a gift card in the card.  I used Petite Pairs, Make a Cake, and  Summer Silhouettes along with Summer Smooches designer series paper, inks are real red and island indigo.

Christmas in July!!!!

Ok, I admit it.  I’m a kid at Christmas. I love it, all the lights and candles and beautiful decorations, the feeling of family togetherness, the worshipping our Lord’s birth.  It is always such a joyous time for me and my little family.  I always make my Christmas cards, whether they are done with traditional supplies or digitally I want to send my loved ones cards that I’ve made so they will know I care about them enough to personally make theirs.  I also  usually wait until the last minute LOL. This year I’ve got a jump on it though and want to share a few things I’ve been working on.

This first card is made using Snow Much Fun and I attempted watercoloring with an aquapainter and SU inks.

I hope to have lots more lovely Christmas things made over the next few weeks and hope you enjoy these!

Sympathy Card Set

I have (unfortunately)  needed way too many sympathy cards lately and decided the lovely Love and Sympathy set and Trust God set would make a beautiful boxed gift.  Comfort Café designer series paper was the perfect complement also. The box was cut using my Cameo.

Serene Silhouette Shaker Card

I had the most fun making this card, I’ve been wanting to try out doing glitter in the sweet treat cups for awhile and finally got some in my starter order and this is what I came up with.  Stamps: Serene Silhouettes, Notably Ornate, DSP: Patio Party, cs: primrose petals, ink: primrose petals, all SU.  Other items are various bits and pieces from my stash.

Making the Switch

So, about this time last year I decided that I would sign up with CTMH and try to teach a few card and scrapbooking classes from time to time.  Maybe earn a few free products and give what little profits I made to benefit Falcon’s Children Home which is my church conference’s orphanage/foster home.  I did manage to make a few dollars to send them, but with a full college schedule and 3 beautiful children I never did get the chance to teach any classes.  Soooo, fast forward to this summer, fresh off the end of this year’s Relay for Life for which I am our school’s team leader and very active in raising funds from January to May of each year.  I decided to try one more time at signing on with a stamping company but chose to go with Stampin Up.  Although I am totally in love with CTMH’s stamps, I really feel like SU has a better variety of on-trend colors and accessories. Plus it is more widely known and will make it easier to attract people to some classes and workshops.  I received my starter kit on Monday and have been playing some (VBS has been keeping me busy).  I made five cards and promptly uploaded them to facebook in a new photo album as cards for sale.  I am going to be selling cards for $3 or 2/$5 with ALL profits going to benefit Falcon’s Children Home. I am pretty sure that I’m going to list all cards in an etsy shop also, but have to get that up and running.  I am in the process of planning a Christmas in July christmas card workshop also. I will be turning over all the money I collect to my mama, our Women’s Ministry President to give when our church presents it’s yearly donation in November for Falcon Children’s Home Harvest Train.

I truly hope and pray that I can make this work.  I have a personal goal of raising $500 to send to these kids this November.  My heart hurts for them. Although I was raised by wonderful, loving, Christian parents, I have a daughter whose father has abandoned her.  She is too young to realize it, but she will one day and I hope she realizes how truly blessed she is to have a mama that can take care of her. I want to foster in her and my other children the importance of helping those less fortunate than us by using whatever talents that God has given us.

My new website to order products can be found at http://debrasingletary.stampinup.net

I will have a link to the etsy store up soon, hopefully by tomorrow.  Thanks so much for your support! Much love - Debra

Simons Say Stamp May Club Kit

Love this new stamp club that I've joined and this is the May kit, www.simonsaysstamp.com.  I was a little surprised that I got 8 cards out of it. The majority out of the supplies is from the new Basic Grey What's Up? collection and Pebbles.

True Love

This layout is for the Hitchhiker's Guide to Scrapbooking Challenge #1 and one of my new favs. I did a scraplift of one of the layouts in the new SBE and used MME Miss Caroline, EP corrugated letters, Websters ribbon, lime twist ribbon, cosmo cricket word strips, teresa collins word stamp. The twine heart was kind of a pain to do, but I really liked the look of it.

Brothers

I absolutely adore the Echo Park This & That Charming collection designed by the amazing Lori Whitlock. This is a picture of my dad and his two brothers when the youngest was born around 1963/1964 (gotta find out the right year LOL). Also used bazzil cs, CTMH wooden buttons and Unity Stamps.

My Mini Album Display

I've had a few folks ask about how I store/display the mini albums that I make, so I took a pic and I'll share it here for ya! This china cabinet was built by my wonderful Daddy about 30 years ago and I have been using it in my own home for maybe the last 15 years or so LOL. I decided to paint it black and use in my scrapbook room for minis, my stamp collection is in the bottom section and I also store some of my home canned goodies up there (and it makes an oh-so-pretty backdrop for photographing my scrappy projects).

Britt's 15th Birthday

My sweet Britt's 15th birthday layout, using Echo Park For the Record, Bazzill CS, Basic Grey Offbeat Chip Stickers. This one was fun and I love the scrabble tile alpha stickers.

Dear Lizzy 2peas Contest Challenge Layout

School has been keeping me totally busy, but this is my last semester.

I'm totally in love with this new American Crafts line called Dear Lizzy Neapolitan. I have picked up several pieces out of the line and intend on
making a mini really soon with it :) This layout was done for the manufacturer's contest over at 2peas in a bucket. TFL!!

Valentines Day 2011

These layouts use K&Co background paper, Echo Park (digital paper) Yours Truly and the cardstock stickers from that EP line also.

Body Restoration Week 1

I am so excited to be a part of this class at www.bravegirlsclub.com and encourage anyone who can to take any of the classes that Melody Ross and her sister, Kathy give. I AM going to go to the actual camp one day. I took Soul Restoration I & II and they are simply live-changing. I don't hate myself anymore, I'm not mean or unkind to myself when I am not perfect.

So this is part of my week one assignment, I still have to do the journalling pages which I will not be showing on here, just because it's so highly personal. I hope you enjoy checking these out and will consider signing up next go around.

Wacky Tacky Day

LOL yes I'm on a chevron kick, sorry, but it's so cool too me!! I used my cameo on this one too for the background and the title. I had to cut the title twice cause it ripped it up the first go around, but came out very nicely the second time. Bazzill CS, Sassafrass Lass Cherry Delicious pp, girl element and journal sticker, flower is from Webster's Pages, Making Memories ribbon

Chevron Valentine Card

So I finally got to play with my new Cameo and boy am I ever glad I got that baby :) It cuts like a dream, although I will never part with my Cricut, I see me turning to this machine ALOT. The whole card and chevron pattern were cut with a valentine card kit from the Silhouette store. The ticket and stamped heart came from the CTMH December Stamp of the Month and the shapes were cut using the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut cart. All other embellies are from the J'taime Making Memories set from last winter.

New Smile Mini

I love this little accordian mini! I used the Jillibean Soup Sweet & Sour journalling card page, bazzill cs, my sassafrass lass button flowers and a heidi swapp word transparency, twine is by lime twist.
